Google CEO: Information retention rules are for governments to make, not Google

Google CEO Schmidt on Google’s use of information:

Schmidt says Google stays within the law, has a very detailed prescription of their use of personal information, and that Google does what they say they will do with that information.

How much information should be stored and for how long, Schmidt says, is for governments to decide, not Google.
